About Emmanuel "Manny" Buabeng

Director of Reimbursement and Continuous Quality Improvement

Emmanuel “Manny” Buabeng is the Director of Reimbursement and Continuous Quality Improvement at Horizon Behavioral Health. He most recently worked as a Senior Consultant for United Health Group’s Revenue Cycle Transformation.  Additionally, large clients such as Northwell Health Systems, a 21 hospital healthcare system based in New York, have relied on his consultancy.

Emmanuel has more than 20 years of management experience in hospital and healthcare systems, including hospital administration as an active duty Officer in the Medical Service Corps for the U.S. Navy. He was the assistant director of administration at the Naval Hospital in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where he successfully led the implementation of various patient administration best practices resulting in exceeding the Joint Commission accountability and quality metrics.

He is lean Six Sigma trained, credentialed by the American Academy of Medical Administrators (CAAMA), and holds active membership with both the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He enjoys worldwide travelling with his daughter as well as running, lifting weights, reading, and music.  He was born in Ghana and holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Scranton, PA, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI.
