All board meetings begin at 3:30 p.m. Committee meetings are held prior to the board meetings. Meetings are subject to change with notice. All meetings are held at the Horizon Wellness Center at Langhorne, 2215 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg, Virginia, unless otherwise noted.
A public comment period is ordinarily held at the beginning of each meeting for citizens to comment about the services and programs of Horizon Behavioral Health. The deadline for signing up for public comment is the Monday before the board of directors meeting by contacting Sandy Farmer, recording secretary of the board at sandy.farmer@horizonbh.org.
The following rules shall apply to all public comment periods:
- Each person speaking will have a limit of three (3) minutes. There will be a timer visible, and a buzzer will sound when your time is up.
- Speakers must email a copy of their written remarks to the recording secretary of the board of directors no later than the Monday prior to the board meeting.
- If the public comment is in regard to matters already presented to the board or those that are being considered in a formal administrative process, the Chairman will rule on whether or not to allow them to be presented.
- After the Board has heard a presentation on a topic from an individual, they cannot present on the same topic again for three (3) months.
