Compliance Director
Christopher Burch, LPC, LMFT, is a behavioral health executive with more than three decades of experience in clinical services, compliance, quality improvement, and organizational risk management. He currently serves as Compliance Director at Horizon Behavioral Health in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he leads system-wide efforts in regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, privacy, health information management, and enterprise risk oversight.
Chris has extensive experience working with state and federal oversight entities, including DBHDS, DMAS, and CARF, and has led multiple successful licensing and accreditation initiatives. His work focuses on strengthening organizational performance through effective policy development, data-informed quality improvement, and proactive risk mitigation.
A licensed professional counselor and licensed marriage and family therapist, Chris combines clinical expertise with operational leadership to support high-quality, accountable, and person-centered behavioral health systems. He is recognized for building strong teams and fostering a culture of integrity, transparency, and continuous improvement.
